Irish Supergroup Celtic Woman Take “A New Journey” Across U.S. in 2008
The 2008 Celtic Woman tour will include selections from their first self-titled album as well as material from A New Journey. Celtic Woman are: Chloë, Orla, Máiréad, Lynn and newly announced member, Alex Sharpe. It promises to be live concert event that you’ll never forget! David Hinckley of the New York Daily News raves, “They sing like angels, almost ethereal on their classical material yet equally adept at creating good fun with the folksier numbers…The voices of Celtic Woman blend together so smoothly you might think these women have been harmonizing since they were in their cribs.” |

Named #1 Top World Music Artist by Billboard Magazine, Celtic Woman has been winning over audiences worldwide with their heavenly renditions of Irish standards, classical favorites and contemporary hits. Their popularity in the U.S. is thanks in part to their first PBS special in March 2005, which has aired over 3400 times on 316 PBS stations to date. This led to the release of Celtic Woman (Manhattan Records/Blue Note Label Group), their platinum CD and DVD debut.
