Children's Home Society's 23rd Annual Chefs Sampler Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 2nd, 2008, and plan to have a good time while supporting a great cause! Thanks to the many volunteers representing local businesses and civic groups, the new location at the Tallahassee - Leon County Civic Center will become Tallahassee's largest restaurant. It's a night where friends reconnect and recommit to ensure that Children's Home Society has the resources needed to serve the children and families of this community. Last year alone, Children's Home Society served over 4,600 children in the Big Bend area.
The Chefs Sampler is a Tallahassee tradition and a gigantic "leap of faith" that demonstrates all that's wonderful about our community. This year will mark its 23 rd year with over 50 of Tallahassee's finest restaurants who generously prepare their culinary creations. The event is known to serve 1,500 local patrons who purchase tickets or tables in support of Children's Home Society. The proceeds go to benefit the 12 programs that Children's Home Society offers, Adoption & Pregnancy Counseling, Child Protection Team, Community Based Foster Care, Early Steps, Family Connection, Family Preservation, (M.O.D.E.L.) Mentoring, (P.A.M.S.) Post Adoption Marriage Strengthening, Special Needs Adoption, Tree House, Wendy's Wonderful Kids, and Ready by 5. |
